We went through assessements for teaming for the two travel teams and two home teams. I actually got to be part of the process by giving my attendance stats for the league and was the person who assigned random numbers for skaters for blind teaming. And once that was done, I matched the names and numbers and was the first to see the new rosters!

Starting last night, we are being assessed for our physical skills. The Teaming Committee observed our scrimmage and I feel I did fine. I actually thought more about strategy rather than just reacting to what was going on around me. I wish last Monday's scrimmage was included. One of our "fresh meat" on her first night broke in ankle! People--her foot was at a right angle!!! She thought her wheels were too grippy but I think she must have locked wheels with someone during the "push/pull" endurance drill. She was in town to promote "Whip It!"-her upcoming derby film and rollergirls from teh area were invited to attend!

I passed my Level 2 assessments last night and now I can scrimmage with my league! I went to Central MA Roller Derby's practice (a lot of new faces!) and skated in their drills and then Empress pulled me aside to test me on hitting, whips, and leaning.
